Whoa....this was so I intense. I love the title!

My hands are frozen now, while yours are battling those fires. This tingling air is drowning me slowly and I can no longer stand on my own.

^ love the hands are opposite and the use of frozen and fire. Favorite stanza!

I don't think I will ever get tired of the comparison of a person, place or thing to poetry. I find in so beautiful and creative in every poem I see that in. Yours especially. :)

Meme, The title drew me in, as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to read...

    Those walls are still high
    and we have exhausted
    every inch of paper.
    And the pen we once
    shared can no longer
    bleed for our desires.

^^^I can so relate to this, I find myself thinking that you are talking about writing everything down and having nothing left to share, and poetry no longer fills your requirements when it comes to emotions. I would hope not cos I never tire of reading your work, it is awesome

I think this piece was so creative and well written, some lovely metaphors while being sad and melancholic.

    Be still my heart-

This poem made me feel as if the woman is so in love and yet she feels doomed from past heartbreak and I could feel the aching heart throughout this beautiful and yet sad piece.

The word usage was elegant and it made me feel a touch of old English word usage, and yet it really wasn't.... Its just the feeling I got , while reading it...several times. The ending grabbed me the most-

    "Oh my love, you once
vowed to free me, but I
    think I sentenced our
    fates to an inescapable
    doom. I plead for your
    forgiveness now, and for
    that heart of yours to
    just love-me-not."

    ^^^^ WOW

Very emotional piece!! Well Done Meme AKA Ms Rhyme

I was really intrigued with the title and that is what drew me so quickly to this piece. The beginning was just great. I think we all have fears and hope that our next love will rid the inhibitions from our minds. Perfect opening. I like the first three stanzas are parted from the last three. It adds a nice transition. This poem told a tale of two lovers that are kept away from one another for some reason even though they long for one another. Beautifully told.
