"I have always kept one inverted comma on the left and one to the right of me."
Clarice Lispector

Quote

From now on, my head will be between
two great inverted commas to live on
intensities and hissing surprises,
to go beyond those staggering metaphors
lying under my staid stained skin.

Interesting quote. As I read it, living between "two great inverted commas" is a about excitement and living life fully, filled with surprises and intensity.

I liked the reference too. This is a good quote, gives one the need to reread and ponder.

You wrote, "to go beyond those staggering metaphors
lying under my staid stained skin."

There's much here to think about. To me this is about making the desired life real, not living within some metaphor that has inhabited you. Love the words that fit together well, "staid stained skin."

    Good job!!
