Ms Black Widow aka Aracne

Ms Black Widow aka Aracne

I heard she is a creature who can't see her crimes.
But despite her poor eyesight, she spotted him
chasing clouds and fishing shadows on the wall
when the pavement was cold and life was a cobweb.
Ms Black Widow didn't attack her trapped victim
so fast. She waited behind her blues and roses
innocently for she has never been an aggressive
specie.

It was with tears in my eyes that I was told
about her sexual cannibalism.
Unfortunately, she is a hungry type:
the one who is never satisfied with simple things
like a pair of earrings, a blouse or a humble man.
And while she keeps feeding his fever,
he is unaware that he is succumbing
slowly wrapped in her silk body
in seventh heaven.

I have never thought to write a poem about a spider. This was very clever. As others say, you have done a great job of personifying the spider...clever indeed

I really liked how you closed the poem in the last two lines! Good job and good luck!
