Vice President Truman - having just returned fomr the funeral of mr. Thomas Pendergast, ws about to sit down to a game of cards.. when his page busted in...
"Mr Vice President, call 3233..."
"Dear God, not that."
"Im afraid so sir."
"Gentleman excuse me."
and racing to the white house, he was joined by his wife Bess and daughter Margaret, and the Widow Roosevelt also.. and his advisors told him somberly,
"Sir, President Roosevelt wa having his protrait painted in Warm Springs and he suddnely slumped over in his chair, suffering a massive cerebral hehmorrage, he died instantly."
"Oh, Dear God." And his family and Thw WIdow Roosevelt gathered round him..
"Mrs Roosevelt is there anything I can do for you?"
"Harry, Can America do anything fo ryou? You are in trouble now."
