Woodland Secrets

by Maple Tree   Sep 15, 2012

Ruffled feathers
and a crows watchful eye,
spied an apparition floating by..

He squawked in hesitation
for the mirage was fierce,
screaming hisses start to pierce.

"I know the story of the Owl
in the night-
speaking in riddles, of an ageless fright"

Visual displays
of rainfall begins,
dancing on skin, like tiny pins.

Falling sparrows
laugh at crows
and woodland secrets that no one knows....

You write so so amazingly wonderful. Your perfection in portraying the beauty of nature in your writings are simply soothing and uplifting. You wrote through the lives of these birds, in their own mystic realm. Its just on point, you always nail it beautifully. I loved the 3rd stanza alot. The metaphor is so elegant; 'dancing on .skins, like tiny pins'. I adore your work so greatly. *blushes* :) ..

Ohhh, it is not often I see rhyming in your poetry. This is so good Maple, it is very creative and you made it flow so well throughout even with your very unique word choices. I loved the idea of secrets in nature, what goes on that we are unaware of.

    Love this one Maple. xx
