Pretending for the last time

I'll pretend for one more time
this one and only last time,
i'll pretend this came from you
deep down in side of you,
i know this will never be true
but it won't hurt to pretend one more time
this one and only last time,
a day never goes by i pretend to be
on the phone getting no response
but i sit there and say daddy i love you
please respond!not caring if i look like
a fool standing there saying he'll come
but inside my head i know it's not today or
the every next day this day will never come
i'll just have to pretend you'll call you'll come
it may not be today but some day hoping it
would of been yesterday,today,and next
but for now i just had to pretend for one
more time this one and only last time!
