To Sir, with love..

by Amreen   Nov 1, 2012

An Angel of bliss
was born today,
to shower on this world
the drops of wisdom.

A poet who sew his poems
with threads of haiku and tanka,
a little senryu and acrostic
and the care of creativity.

I haven't ever met him
yet his virtual presence
paints his excellence
on my mind.

Today I own
a blissful opportunity
to gift him this piece and say,
"Sir, I wish you a beautiful life".

*to one of my most adorable person on PnQ:)

This is such a beautiful and thoughtful poem to a special someone on PnQ. I loved how you incorporated the forms of poetry he writes! It's amazing how much some of these people can affect our lives and we've never even met them, huh?

I like this poem, Amreen and I think I know whom it is about too!

The truly great thing about a poetry club is getting inspired by other members, isn't it?

    Well done!

Wow! This is a beautiful tribute for a dear one. Right words choosen and flawlessly written. Its amazing how those we haven't met impact our lives positively. We live our life uncertain of how and when we'll meet those people, who'll be a blessing in our lives. Its strange that all these happen through virtual interaction. And the outcome is imbued with a worthwhile friendship.

When we do things the right way and relate with people for a good cause. Then at such we'll meet to part no more, even if its virtually. And perhaps, in the long run we might get to meet our virtual friends. Such bonds do stay longer than we expect. It may be seldom but its eternal.

A lovely write. Keep them coming. I love your work loads. :-) ..
