Wallpaper

by Maple Tree   Nov 11, 2012

Please-

Fingertip dance
upon skin of
iridescence.

Flavor the
adhesive
which leaves
me imprisoned
for life upon this
wall.

Strip me-
so I can
be recycled,
for I was
not birthed
to be glued
upon the wall,
but to blow in
the breeze,
just as a
tree should....

Oh my gosh Andrea, stop it, you make me love you more with each write seriously. your love for nature is so wonderful and puts a huge smile on my face...Down to the fact that wallpaper bothers you, I love that, I also loved that you mentioned "recycle" simply because you use the word "strip" which could make someone throw it away, not give it another look, but your heart still shines so bright when you are asking the wallpaper still be properly cared for even after its been taken down.

    Loved the flavored adhesive part....crafty!!

    you are amazing!!

I loved this so much!!! It was so beautiful and took me by surprise...the structure and the way you delicately said these words just spoke to me. What an inspiration you are telling here, to not be glued on a wall but made to be recycled, turned into something able to be valued . A really neat, refreshing write :)
