Whispers in the Corn

by Maple Tree   Nov 23, 2012

There wasn't enough time
to tell you the titles of
every tear I shed for you.

You left after a winter
of regrets, and before
the hurricane of morning.

I mourned for you
by the passing trees
we once walked,
calling upon their
forgiveness, but
they refused to
speak, because
you weren't there.

I don't recall telling
our daughters the
feelings I always
had for you,
they wouldn't understand
why I still chose to
walk away...

Three years, going
on halves by the clock,
I still write your name
in the nightmares of
yesterday.

Haunting the frown
upon my face can only
mean one thing-

I'll smile for you,
from now on,
if you can forgive
yourself and me
as well....

Even though you poured everything into this piece and all the emotion was heartbreaking. But you always write so beautifully...and I love it!

    Hugs you

    @.@!!

    Kick me!

Missy I'm sorry, I don't like reading about you in sad places, your like everyones little bit of sunshine... That picks them up.

My saving grace for not being overly irritted by it, is knowing that you have a loving husbnd to help your see new dreams brighter... As he's in your happy, loving writes :) xx
