Cages are Made

by LadyPearl   Dec 10, 2012

When the bed becomes the white knight
Pillow raised against the world,
And morning in all its unpleasant light
Forces one aground.

Find someone relentless in life-
Swollen with fury and grit,
Set aflame the sheets with strife
Opened cage permit.

Seek an enemy with a brutal tongue
Ask how think of one and friends,
Most times by one's own hands one's hung
Blind to pretentious trends.

Cages are built from unknown threats-
though one can claim to know-
In the heat arise suppressed regrets,
Leaps out an opened window.
