Plucked at Random...

by Hellon   Dec 15, 2012

Delicate buds will never bloom
roots too young to stand alone
tiny thorns could not protect
petals scatter...ill wind has blown.

Seedlings that were so lovingly sown
and nurtured with tender care
fragile rosebuds that never grew
they were pruned beyond repair.

Empty are the windows now
curtain drawn in deep despair
empty are the shattered vases
though their perfume still lingers there.

Plucked at Random.....

* For the little lost flowers of Connecticut...in my head...I've been singing the first verse of the Christmas carol..Silent Night since I heard of this and...it's taken on a totally different meaning today....

Ya know, Hellon, I don't think I've commented on your work before, so I thought I'd find your oldest one on here, because that's what I like to do. They're usually the most honest and heartfelt.

Would you believe that I was right? Too bad if you don't. This could even be a song and what a song it'd be.

Thanks for sharing it with us all :)

Hi Hellon I decided to look through peoples older stuff and the title of this drew me in and I wasn't going to read it at first but then I went back to the page it was on and it seemed to jump out at me. I must say I am in tears writing this and remember vividly about what happened and this piece is a sad, telling tale of how heart-breaking it was then and still is now.
    A very fitting title.

Hellon...you made me cry :(...biatch ;)

I'm always emotional when it comes to anything involving children (Perhaps because of my 2 year old?) so I'm going to come back when I'm in a better frame of mind, for now I'll say, beautiful tribute.

A beautiful dedication. Writing anything more will not be possible at the moment.
