No more the sacrificial lamb

by miracle   Jan 3, 2013

The world I once knew was all a fantasy,
I took off the glasses so I could see.
All the memories cease to fade,
All the never kept promises made.

How did you not see me falling apart?
Did you have no heart?
I tip toed on egg shells my whole life,
How do you not know my strife!

The life I wish I could forget,
My reality of the past is no longer bent.
But it has made me who I am.
I am no more the sacrificial lamb.

Forgive me for I can't play these games,
I'm letting go of all these pains,
The cuts run straight through to my core,
I do not wish this anymore.
