I'm In Love With You

My life has been spent searching in vain,
Drowning in hurt and living in pain.

After all the heartbreaks i didnt think i was a believer,
But now that i'm with you my life is getting sweeter.

I dont care when people say we shouldnt be together,
Because i know that our love will last forever.

I've been waiting so long and for all of my life,
Just to find a love that feels this right.

They dont kow how special you are,
Or what you have done to my heart.

They dont know about the things that we do,
Or any of the I Love Yous.

Your love is one of the few things that i can believe,
And i hope that you will always stay with me.

Because i love you

i wrote this for justus and i dont know if i should show him. its not good i know that. but he always writes me the sweetest things and i feel like i dont do anything for him. please message me or commentt to tell me what i should do. thank you

and once again he broke up with me

    you start of on a very strong note, i really like the way this particular poem starts off. theres somehow this dichotomy between drowning and living in the second line that really conveys this feeling of imminent non-lethal suffering that could end in death, with the added torture of continued living. devestating for a love poem.

    after that the rhymes get a little iffy, and the flow could use some touch-ups, but the message is clear enough, and your edit at the bottom helps readers to understand the personal nature of the piece. well done.
