Oh Heart

by Efpophis   Jan 31, 2013

Oh heart, thou beatest strong and true,
For how cruel time hath beaten thee:
Love gained and lost
Now claims its cost,
My mind becomes my enemy.

Fair maiden Death, clad cold and blue
Thy fear no longer torments me:
Thy frigid chest,
My 'waited rest
From all my life's insanity.

Aww, thanks! I'm glad you like it.

I actually wrote it a loooong time ago, before I ever met your mom, even. It was right after I had broken up with my first serious girlfriend.
