Just One Day (Mothers day)

by Gary R Priester   Feb 11, 2013

Just one day to shine the light
On a mother's love I hold so tight
Taken for granted throughout your life
Youve held my hand to face life's strife
On the longest day or the darkest night
A mother's love is always bright
Without you I'd have no life
So today I'll try to make things right
By placing you at a pedestal's height
And thanking you for giving me life.

Short, lovely and to the point poem for a mother. We do take them for granted and time and time again they always see us through..nicely penned!
