I was just 12, as wild as could be
You were 14 & as calm as the sea
We bad no clue how crule love could be...
So unaware of then price that we'd pay & so unaware of the hurt & the pain..
The day that you left me, when you moved away...
After you left, things went bad pretty fast.
All I could think of was getting you back.
The problem with that was, I knew you weren't coming back..that you were gone
I lost my place, nowhere to belong..
Days turned to weeks then months as the time passed
Every few days we'd talk & i'd ask
If u still loved me & if u still cared.
You said the same thing that you'd said long before
That you loved me, I loved you, but I loved you more..
1 year, 2 years, 3 years had passed
We kept in touch & i'd still ask
After a while, once more time bad passed
We no longer talked, so I couldn't ask...
That's when it hit me
That's when I could see

You were my 1st love & that you will always be.
