Perfect Picture

by TheDarkCloudBehindthePoet   Feb 14, 2013

Resting my body beside yours with the wind blowing between our feet,
Grass greener than the ring of a Lantern,
Your eyes as blue as the ocean and deeper than a black hole ,
Love is in my heart,

Wrapped in a blanket I am prisoner to your beauty,
My heart pulses with anticipation to kiss your lips,
The tree's shadow marks your face with leaves I can't remove,
I close my eyes,

Reminicing how we came to be,
Our first date, to the first time she snorted while laughing,
How we talked about a future together,
She is the one for me,

I open my eyes to a glorious sight,
A sunset with your beautiful smile greeting me,
Reaching in for a kiss you stop me and say,
"Thank you my love, for this perfect day."

Placing your hand on my chest, heart-beating faster than Cheetah legs,
I kiss your lips,
A perfect picture,
Frozen in time.
