This is a mature love caught out unexpected.

The poem shows dedication and contentment with a current state of emotion. It is stable as a catamaran and requires no conscious attention (night ocean). There are even small children who are lulled by her love, such as by a grandmother, with her placid devotion.

Suddenly she is confronted with a new and passionate love that sweeps over her like a tidal wave. Where it takes her is left unsaid for the moment, but she will surely not be the same.

I must have missed when you posted this! And may I just say, this is beyond words. I love the title in French, the whole context and wording of this. I wish I could nominate this. It's definitely going in my favorites!

The title itself took me to another time, like Paris in the fifties (like I saw it in movies) it had this lovely sense in it.

The word choice was perfect for this piece, you managed to draw a picture of love in such an elegant way. It flowed like a river; smoothly to take you into another place.

    "love meets heart
    to become
    a tsunami..."
The way you choose to end this piece was breathtaking, the metaphor of how love meeting the heart would result in a tsunami just blew my mind. Its like the moment love was introduced into their life everything was never the same again.
    Such a wonderful piece.
