Midnight Euphoria

by Maple Tree   Mar 18, 2013

I become passionate
within a paper storm
of lazy raindrops
and raspberry hideaways.

The blonde sunset
creates a soft,
billowy mood
lounging within
my soul.

Luscious emerald
grass fingers tickle me
under an eternal
rosy moon.

Tasting an authentic
peace at midnight.

The title sounds like a name of a perfume and considering this is a nature's poem I found that to be a very smart choice.
The choice of word and the metaphors were spot on. You used a number of elements of nature to give the piece a realistic look and feel. There tone you used all throughout the poem was very soft and tender and poetic at the same time. I love the images you draw, the place looks and sounds magical.

"Authentic Peace" just took my breath away.
I have to say the ending stole the show. :)

Oh my stars! Andrea, this is perfect! I'm so glad that this was the first poem I read today because because it really does make you feel euphoric when you're reading it.

This poem oozes vivid imagery, and I love your choice of words. The metaphors and images work together really well to create a fantasy; I felt like I was watching anime or animation with amazing cinematography, lol.

You knocked it out of the park, as always, but this one really stands out to me. 5/5, favorited, nominated, the whole nine yards. You deserve it. Great write :)

    Holy imagery explosion.
    Wow, Andrea.

I've been sitting here staring at this trying to figure out a comment. In a literal sense, every single line is mesmerizing in detail. Even the short ones. This almost isn't even poetry. It's nearly a visual art! What a gorgeous image this piece provokes. I wish there were a way to take a picture of the thoughts this poem brings.

^I read that stanza, and literally my jaw dropped. This is such a beautiful write. Any adjectives I try to come up with will not do it justice.

I really can't even speak about it, so I'm definitely nominating this for ridiculously amazing imagery.

    Perfection!
