Our Queen

by Daylight Lucidity   Mar 23, 2013

The queen sits upon her throne of hearts
Red and black mixing caustically
Her chin lifted, her emotions she has set apart
From her heart, feeling no pain, but leaving her exhausted.
To whom will she give her love next?
He or she, leaving us in the dark
Where she no longer stands but looks within
Hauntingly lingering on the edge of its seductive call, she hears its hark.
She walks along the imperfect road
Stumbling over loneliness' cracks and holes
That symbolize its eternal imperfection, to which she is showed
As she sits upon her lonesome throne.
Beloved but alone she stands tall
She leans on no one but we lean on her
Guiding us through our storms, through the fog,
Her strength is endless, admirable, but below the dress, lies a suppressed hurt.
Even our queen,
No matter how hard she tries,
No matter how happy she seems,
Still, silently, cries.
We love her, and she us,
May I speak for us all
When I solemnly say
She is the strongest of us all...
As she sits upon her gleaming, golden, throne
Smiling down upon her subjects
Scepter in hand, inner light aglow,
She is lovingly respected.
Beautiful and unique she walks along the road
Stronger than we all can ever know,
Imperfections decorating her path
But paving the way for a smoother future.
Astonishing and awe inspiring amongst her jewel encrusted crown's gleam,
Is our beloved queen.
