Antithesis

That's the other side of midnight
& I will let you know
when the stars get black
& the ravens soar
for i wasn't chosen to hide
in your pit.

that's the dark side of the moon
& my wings have another name.
i saw Lucifer and Venus;
love has many names and faces.
have you chosen your new halo?

that's a brief explanation
for our simple sins
& i'm glad i can roll the dices again
whether you want it or not.

^ Love the imagery here, I feel like I could paint a picture using the stanza as inspiration, I like it a lot.

^I like how you start out each stanza with a statement and go into detail of the statement in poetic wording.

^ This stanza makes me feel like this poem is about someone in your life that you once really cared about but are now pushing away for some reason and you feel resentment yet gratefulness that this person isn't such a big part of your life anymore. That's what I got from it.

I do have a little critique though, regarding the '&' symbols. I think it would make the poem a bit easier of a read if you were to say 'and' instead of '&'. Just some thoughts. This is very well written.

Interesting and thought provoking images come to mind. I liked the mention of Lucifer and Venus in the same sentence..just an overall fantastic write.

Powerful piece. Don't think I am able to analise the metaphors/images here. I am sure there is more than my poor eyes can meet.
