Introspect - Etheree

by Lonely Rider   Apr 10, 2013

Slight
strip of
crescent moon
smiling down at
idiosyncrasies of
life and artificial
glass lights illuminating
silicon villages, thinking
if the blindfolds of ebony clouds
more blinding or lust of electronic bliss.

An interesting read of life and the yearning of real beauty for the eyes. I also like your usage of words to describe a whole lot in just a few words especially "electronic bliss." Nicely written!

    Slight
    strip of
    crescent moon

^ Strong imagery. The crescent part of the moon could be described as a strip.

    smiling down at
    idiosyncrasies of
    life and artificial
    glass lights illuminating
    silicon villages,

^ The radiance of the crescent strip is rendered insignificant before the glow of artificial light. Yet it never is soothing to the soul, for the beauty and the calmness is absent. Plus the moon is supposed to be an abode of a spirit.

    thinking
if the blindfolds of ebony clouds
more blinding or lust of electronic bliss.

^ Oh! I love how you've used "electronic bliss" The irony is marvelous.

    Very well written.
