Believe

How can you trust what you can not see?
Is what friends asked of my Christianity,
I compared my God to the air we breathe.
Although you can't see it, it gives you life
Although you can't touch it, it's always by your side
And if you listen closely with no distractions to hinder
You can even hear them whisper.
Yet there are difference between the two
One has limited powers and my God has limitless powers as to what He can do.
Air helps you live and He keeps you alive
Without air you suffocate and then He gives you new life.
Air is easily tainted yet His love is consistently pure
Air has nothing to sacrifice for us yet God gave his only son, who's pain was endured.
We trust in air because it is proven and documented
Yet if you think of the days that seemed impossible, it was He who stepped in
Not the air and the wind.
I woke up this morning because He woke me up
When I felt myself sinking, it was He who said I will no longer be stuck.
Air helps me breath
And He gives me breathe
Air covers my footprints while He guides my steps
And because of that I will praise him until I have nothing left.
