Leather and Scars

by Renegade Angel   May 2, 2013

She walks down the path of her fate, where the asphalt meets the dirt road.
Her heart wondering why her mind lets the scars lacerate,
Bleed
Stain
Mark
Break

The blood that she feels across her face, the fierce, sharp clap that skids across her beautiful face.
The emotional vulgarity that slips through her ears and stuck to her mind
The ever increasing blood and bruises that increase as her head hits the leather steering wheel
The quick scent of leather
The everlasting scars
The confusion of it all
Will she ever learn?

Her heart no longer needs the constant bleeding and insistent harm and disarray
Maybe one day
She will leave the scent of leather and blood

And escape to a place with nothing. Nothing at all
