Meme...I love this!!! Oh my, I'm in awe.

The length of this, and the power, how amazing!!! How amazing!! This was soooo powerful, because we don't know where home is, a lot of the time, home is too far away and we've strayed along a road, we've ran away, you know...does that make sense.

I really liked this...the tone, the flow...just WOW!

Yes I know. Home is a feeling not just a place so its so easy to stray away from it. Lucky are those who can find their way back..

And thanks for your comment :)

Nice, very nice! The story has an essence of enchantment, or maybe I'm reading too much into it, haha. I love the tone because even though it's dark, it gives you hope that her prayers will be answered and she'll finally find a place to call home. Great work, Meme :)

I agree completely with what you said, that home isn't a place, it's a feeling.

You always capture so much imagery in these smaller forms. I love 'outskirts of loneliness' ... amazing.

I love this! It almost reminded me of some sort of animal by the use of "straying"....It reminded me of a bird..how they don't really have a specific home..They can build a nest, but if its on someones porch, we knock it down, or in a tree, sometimes the wind blows it out....Funny how similar human feelings can be to the life an animal.

I loved this tanka. You nailed it!

Awww.. what a great tanka! I love tankas because they're short, but they have to have a lot of meaning and this tanka does... I like how this woman is praying and trying to forgive herself, and trying to find her way back home. It was interesting to read!

    Well done! :)
