Soul searching

by Chelsey   Jun 26, 2013

She writes romantic poetry because
her ideas about love outweigh her
experience of it. Ink kisses paper and
she melts, envisioning what it feels like
for her thoughts to come to life.

She may be the girl everyone calls
crazy, but somewhere...
under the same moon,
on the same continent,
walks a man who will eventually
give her the world.

So be still her mind, quiet the crowd,
and allow her dreams to steady her heart

for the introduction of her soulmate.

I feel like finding love kindof does start with being a dreamer about it, because you have this vision of who you want to be with. I was such a dreamer before I found someone, definitely an introduction to finding love. I loved how you called it that, so unique. Dreaming is always healthy I believe, especially in this case. Nice little poem, I know I've been through this stage in my life also :)

Love this so much Chels, it's truly beautiful and I can see and understand, to an extent at least since each person feels this in a different angle maybe, what you mean about envisioning that first true love...

I so believe love will come for us in God's time, and though it's hard to be patient and hard when everyone around us has their moments, it will be worth it all.

Such a beautiful, self-reflective poem. I think we all at some point have had that yearning and desire, yet these are such a mature few lines and it shows the beauty of you as a woman:

"So be still her mind, quiet the crowd,
and allow her dreams to steady her heart"

There will be that man who will sacrifice and to be told it will never happen is something no one should settle for....."soulmate" is a perfect word, I couldn't think of anything more brilliant than that because it's anything but artificial and temporary. There is love in its purest form out there :]

    Lovely & inspiring as usual!
