Forward

by Chelsey   Jul 11, 2013

She's been too busy getting drunk on shooting stars
and wasting life on doteing sunsets that she forgot...
love is a necessity of the heart, oxygen to the soul,
and security to the mind.

She's been lost in fields of forgetfulness,
tortured by the pain in losing memories,
but it benefits her reason for living...

for herself.

Though love is everything the body needs
to function, sometimes, just sometimes...
the absence of it gives us a reason to fly,
an excuse to dream, and provides a path-
forward.

^ It IS really nice when seeing the actual handwritten copy beforehand, not only seeing how you write but that it did make it more personal.... kind of shows the crafty/artistic side of writing!

As I said before, such a beautiful message that I don't think can ever get old! We all need to be reminded this at times... we may be young and not yet in love, or have found our true love, but we must keep our eyes and heart forward. Move ahead and have a reason for living.

First line was my absolute favorite! Never heard anything like it before... it's like we are forgetting to truly experience the joys of living because we are waiting. And we can wait for our love, but we shouldn't keep wondering why we aren't in somebody's arms or what may be wrong with us. Because nothing is.

Loved so much of course! Glad you wrote this and got inspiration haha, plus your thoughts must have been flowing because when you messaged me saying you had an idea, then posted it, it was pretty quick. Happy to read Chels :]

I fell in love with this piece, when I read it on Facebook, and I love seeing the poems first written, gives a personal touch to them.

I really agree that we get lost in the fact that we are single and we dwell on it, but it is that time, when we are free of that restriction that we should concentrate on ourselves and the future.

    Lovely write as always Chels
