Winter Heaven (song)

by Maher   Jul 29, 2013

She blew me away
To a cold winter heaven
Kept me company in the lonely desert sand
And there she told me
That I could keep her forever
On the condition that I'd never wake again

Come and follow me
There's a place you'd love to see
But if you dwell too long I fear
You'd never leave

I've heard her singing
In the valley by the sea
Her voice echoing off every living thing
She's bathed in magic
Her scent would haunt your dreams
And when she's happy
She breathes light on all my fears

Take my hand
Let's go walking through the sea
And if you listen, dear, I'll be
The last you'll see

What a beautifully rhythmic little piece this is, Maher. As I read, I was reminded somewhat of those dastardly sirens who drew sailors to their lustful doom...

    Lovely writing indeed,

Haha funny you mention that, my friend. This song is actually about my ex wife who was a great singer. To be fair though, I wrote it before we had issues lol.

Thanks for reading it, good sir :)
