    Wow, what a wonderful write. I picture a person whose light is fading, their innocence gone, the fuel for their hope no longer exist. I loved this piece.

    Did you mean to say "pierced heart" in the second line?

    This poem is one I can relate to, have been there many times in the past. The only way to overcome it, is to become your own best friend and to start fighting for her, Natalie. No one else can or will do that for you.

    If you fail to see the meaning of your existence, then stop thinking about it all together and actively join in at the activities around you. You will lose nothing and might gain a whole lot by sharing your self and put effort into just being there for others. And then maybe, one day, you will find that just being here is enough. You will find the answers when you stop looking.

      Hi Ingrid, thanks for your comment! No I meant 'pieced' as in pieced back together, like a broken vase, glued back together! :)
      Thank you for your kind words. although the poem is about feeling depressed, it is not directly about me. I like to magnify feelings to create what I feel is art :)
