Shine Alone

by Just Sierra   Aug 28, 2013

So to the stars and moon, I thus confided
About a love so precious, yet unrequited
They absorbed my tales with grief and woe
With waves of heat and blankets of snow.
Alas--as the last leaf fell onto me from above
I discovered the tragedy, the secret of love;
Learn to live without your light, all that's left is stone
But all the brightest stars in life, burn to shine alone.
