A Moment of Weakness

by ABrookeD   Sep 1, 2013

Emotions gone rapid

She stands lonely, despaired,

Love lost

Seeking to replace,

Her hearts desire,

To fill a cold and empty space.

He struck her with a single glance,

Bearing a resemblance to a man she called home

Making it impossible to ignore,

Feelings now reborn.

From a day of charm and laughter,

To a night of passion was enough,

To send her heartbeat racing,

And allowing her to trust,

A man willing to take advantage,

Of an innocent woman's lust.

Used up, and tossed aside,

One moment gone too far

She was,

Wanting to feel wanted,

Needing to be loved,

Craving touch,

And yearning to be held.

He felt nothing,

It meant nothing..

Desperate to rid herself of the pain from loss of love,

Now she suffers from the pain,

Of giving herself up.
