I wish I could really dig into a proper comment... but every time I do I just feel overtaken and overwhelmed by this piece. One of the best I've seen from you. The emotions are really telling and heartbreaking -- you're longing for what once was and the almost desperation I felt when reading this just had me in tears. I've read this poem a few times now trying to find a proper way to highlight this and just can't. You made me speechless :)

I love your endings and really think you have a knack for them. You take this simple line at the end, wrapping it all up and tying it neatly with a ribbon, finishing it up. Endings are the hardest for me and I've actually studied your poetry trying to figure out just how you do it. It's just one of those things... beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!
