Lullaby

by Kitty Kurse   Sep 11, 2013

Tell me why I dream of you still,
Why does it seem so hard in my dreams as well?
I want to move on but from time to time you still;
Pop into my mind.

Dear baby boy,
I am so sorry that this did not work.
I tried, but daddy just didn't feel right.
Sometimes when the wind blows I close my eyes and remember the times.
I remember where we once laid,
When we embraced;
in the green grass where the cows grazed.

Sometimes I pretend my heart is alright,
when I look at the stars in the mid-night.
How do I overcome this deep wound?
I feel oh so empty inside.

Oh dear baby boy,
I am so, so sorry that this did not work.
I tried, but daddy just didn't feel right;
And sometimes when the wind blows I close my eyes and remember the times,
I remember where we once laid,
When we embraced;
In the green, green grass where the cows grazed.
We used to lie down on your quilt,
Watch shooting stars dance across the night sky;
Oh it was such a wonderful sight.
You used to hold me tight, tell me thing would be alright.

My eyes now dance with a deep hidden sadness.
Trying to forget the loneliness I feel.
You're all I have my baby boy.
You are my life.

Oh dear baby boy,
I am so, so sorry that this did not work.
I tried, but daddy just didn't feel right;
And sometimes when the wind blows I close my eyes and remember the times,
I remember where we once laid,
When we embraced;
In the green, green grass where the cows grazed.
