The hunt.

He stalks his meal concealed within the shadows of the night, This little morsel so unaware of her plight.
It was late and she was nervous so with her he would have to take his time, It was going to be a bit before he would be able to dine.
He decided he didn't feel like running and wasn't up for a chase, He would lure her willingly into his embrace.
He watched as she looked over her shoulder and tripped on a stone, But he stayed hidden and left her alone.
Amused he softly chuckled as she cursed and gave the stone a throw, it was rare that dinner came with a show.
She passed the graveyard and fear crept into her soul, Now he decided was time to take control.
Out of the darkness he stepped into the moonlight and her view, She froze unable to run as if she stood in a puddle of glue.
He held out a single rose silently beckoning her to come and take it from his hand, But he didn't move and she would give in and soon wear his brand.
Her heart beat loudly and it was music to his ears, she began to shake and was about to burst into tears.
His patience was wearing thin, but he knew it would not be long till he would win.
Come it's alright tis not but a rose he said with a voice as gentle as the breeze, Trying to put her mind at ease.
She thought about it and then took the first step towards her death, But he would make It exquisite even when she draws her final breath.
She was slow and ever watchful but at last her fingers wrapped around the stem of the rose, her fate... only he knows.
Suddenly the flower falls to the ground pricked by its thorns blood trickles down her fingertip, Gently he lifts the finger up and laps the blood away teasing her finger with his lips.
He felt her tremble down to her deepest core, The time had come she wanted more.
He placed his arms around her waist and pressed his body to hers, and for a moment this lovely creature reminded him this was no game but a curse.
He kissed her neck then fangs found their target quickly sinking deep, And soon she would close her eyes in an eternal sleep.
He felt her terror that quickly morphed into ecstasy and it wouldn't be long now before her heart stopped beating, She would then be free but he will spend eternity killing.
Finally her body limp he held her gently and upon her cold lips he placed
a kiss soft and sweet, His heart aching as he fought back the urge to sit
there and weep.
As he laid her lifeless body down a star fell, A tear drop fell and he disappeared into the twilight and his immortal hell.

Wow.. I dont really know what to say. this poem really took my breathe away. I love it. It feels as if he wishes he would be able to control everything that he is doing, and you easily keep the reader wanting to read more just by explaining how he felt as well. You used alot of imagery, it really helped keep my attention. You done a great job!

This was a great poem. I really liked the whole story here and that is what kept me reading. I also loved how you depicted how the the vampire seemed like he wanted love but with his curse it would only allow to feed. It shows such a conflict in his life and I really enjoyed it.
