A Winter's Sunrise

by X Harlea X   Dec 8, 2013

The chill of the morning cuts deep into my bones.
My coffee cup on one side,
painting supplies on the other.

I glance up again to this snow covered landscape.
The trees with their bare limbs,
the snow glistening with the rising sun.

Peach and pale blue cover the sky.
The sun dances along the grounds.
This is every painters dream come true,
capturing the perfect winter sunrise.

I love this poem and the last stanza still catches me every time I read it. Portrays a perfect picture to the reader! Great job!
