The Door

by Silent Scribbler   Dec 13, 2013

Confronted by a door
As I once was before
And from beyond escapes a whisper
That in the air seems to linger

Words that speak promises
To fulfill my wishes
Take me to back when
And let me love again

Yet this I have once heard
And lies filled that word
How am I to believe
It won't once again deceive

To turn my back now
Will be to never know
If the whispers speak true
Or merely seek to misconstrue

There are a few parts in this that I would rephrase, but that's just me. This piece was good, emotions and questions mix together nicely in this. Good job
