Shadows

by DarkKnight   Dec 17, 2013

Where did we go?when did the essence of us leave?
no longer you shake and tremble at my touch?
as it all been just to much?.

Cries of passion in the dark bedroom slithered away without notice one day and
now all that remain are subtle cries of pain.

Laughter so real and natural now rare and fleeting, its memory worth its weight in gold, the burning embers of fun grow cold.

Words of love and kindness to often unsaid as if all words are now dead, entombed in our heads, arguments faced with dread.

We are no longer entwined just chemicals combined, no heat in our hearts and cold winds when apart no loss when we go, two people without shadows.
