The ending stanza got me, it really sank in me. Though crying and letting the sadness flow is a good thing, it helps. Take care.

I read this as a heartbreaking poem full of void and sadness. The part that gets me (besides the ending):

one who has sculpted an
image of us with love and tears
left me...
like a stranger in a crowd
unowned, to face lonely years

^ like a stranger in a crowd, unowned, - this could candidate as one of the saddest lines. To be unowned means to not only lose a loved one, but to lose parents, forerunners.

And the ending, so haunting and frighteningly sad. Great work here.
