A moment in the Kitchen

by Maple Tree   Dec 30, 2013

I found myself tangled midst
violet thistles, whistling to a moon
tune, sung by our souls as love birds
do, on the mere hush of midnight.

Oh, the glorious days of romantic
flirtation, naked arms embrace
such a moment when nature's
beast comes to call.

He whispered on the 7th day
to come back and embrace
the fragrance of spring-

one more time.

I did, and remain his flower
amongst a field of cemetery lilies
forever and always.

We grow in comfort of stability and yet
are very fond of passionate memories
that circle our senses with a loving rebirth
of new...

The scent of his masculinity ravishes
my womanly, powder puffed nose-
I smell the days of true love
as I prepare him a routinely cuisine.

A woman is always in love with her soul mate
and smiles sweetly of how her true love came
to call upon her heart.

Again I am in love with this poem. The title is wonderful and goes very well with the poem I feel. It's amazing how you used metaphors throughout and entangled them with nature tones and elements. I thought the poem worked well overall because of the love you have for this person and nature in general. I loved the ending it has a very romantic side to it as well. You found yoursoul mate and that is not an easy thing to do. Overall the story and imagery work well together. I loved the character personality of the girl as well. You make your characters shine in your ppoems which is a big thing. Well done :)
