A Test in Life ( Challenge from ADreamer )

by Everlasting   Feb 1, 2014

In summer memories,
You are like dripping honey
dangling from a spoon
into my lips.

Yet I'm here - aloof,

Shield in a tower
that stretches thoughts
from blades of grass to blades of grass
into a secret muse,
I call the sky:

The overflow of bitter superstition
built brick by brick
by an attention seeker,
a puppy love,
that made out of my mind
an architecture,

in the blackboard where I write.

And now
you are like dripping honey
dangling from my lips
into the ground.

Words to used:

I'm here, puppy love, muse, secret, and tower(s)
superstition, blackboard, test, aloof, shield, overflow, bitter, summer memories, dripping honey, and attention seeker.

--- I couldn't use " Test " in the poem so I used it as the title, not sure if that counts.

^^I like the imagery here. There is a soothing tone to it which brings on a smile.

^^This one stood out for me, not sure why, maybe because of the various images of a new love.

All in all liked this read :)
