The Bait

by Alexis   Feb 4, 2014

What I appreciate & devour is this darkness inside
as if I could stand when I can't recognize
who is sleeping here.

but who cares if stars get black
and poems are abandoned?
I feel it & it is immense.
it fits perfectly but I am about to forget soon
the difference between body & soul.

call it an anathema.
jesus - did he classify you?
call it a miracle.
is it? is it?

I am, you are.
Deep and deep, I swallow the night
& it is so easy to get
what you can give me.
(he can give me too & he&he&he&he&he
all of them can)

The hook waits patiently
for another you today.
the glass is half-empty.
