This is a very different poem from what I have read before hellon. I found it a bit comical though. Though in the world nowadays it's very true. I guess that's from fear of the unknown. The world really is a cold place. This is a powerful message that a lot of younger adults should read. I personally loved the last line because people say generation "x". So that tells me you are ttalking about the generation now. I liked that you set one time frame. Very well written and unique poem!

    Clever senryu here Hellon,

it seems harsh to call children parasites but that may be because my children are only 7, 10 and 11. However I can imagine if they are still living at home in their early twenties them my opinion may change.

Kippers is a good word, it makes me think of teenagers who seem to have no energy to do anything other than kip, (sleep)

    (I remember those days fondly)

nice poem that could also find a home in the 'internet slang' section.
