Alexandria...

by Marcus blake   Feb 12, 2014

A year ago from today and yet memories of you are nostalgic
I never knew what words to say like flowers
But even so
I welcomed you with roses in shaky hands
Sunset skies around seven pm
But holding your hand
The wind in our face
I only thought things like this should never end
You never did cry much
Like still water you were settled; calm...
And I was the fool
Sitting here next to you
Still holding your hand
Unable to let go...
They said you'd be like nature
Free from the world
It was then I knew
With tears in my eyes
This pain of mine
And so much love in this heart
That even now that she's dead
I still can't seem to find the right words to be said...
