Kalon

by Hannah Lizette   Feb 15, 2014

Hands to hips,
fingers sightsee across
mountains of womanly passion.
An avalanche of lace slips
down the curvaceous slope
as his breath rests on
the small of her neck.

Lip prints leave a trail
of echoes across her
shoulders as she
braids herself within
his flesh and carves
forever into his spine.

At that moment,
as their mouths moan
harmoniously,
he saw the beauty
in making love.

*Kalon - beauty that is more than skin deep.

You give the word "depth" new meaning with this poem. When we speak of love making we talk of becoming one with the person we love. And you painted that picture all to clearly!

    "braids herself within
    his flesh and carves
    forever into his spine"
    ^simply mind blown!

    Amazing work!

Wow Hannah, this is quite beautiful. I like the idea of your title, and agree it fits the poem very well.

I like how this poem can be so innocent, and yet behind the lines there is the deeper meaning of beauty and appreciating it, and loving the beauty of others.

As always, your wording just amazes me!

Lol canoodling sounds so funny to me. I changed it to "Kalon" which means beauty that is more than skin deep. I thought it fit nicely here and is unique.

No title suggestion from me haha. But I really liked your poem. I loved here how you paid attention to the "details" of love and foreplay. The metaphor here is great I think because you stayed classy with your wording but you left a great painted picture through out. You can tell these people are truly in love and they show it to each other here. Passion is always great and I believe you wrapped up the whole thing well by the last line. Making love. :). There really is beauty in making love to the one you love because I feel like it enhances it greatly. Beautiful write about showing what true love is!
