I'm not a poet

by Everlasting   Feb 19, 2014

If your definition of a poet is someone
who can make you relate and make you feel
what you think they feel
then I'm not a poet and I'll never be.

Poets are too emotional and I-
even though I can be,
dislike being described by my poetry.
I want to describe my poetry
not my poetry to describe me.

With that being said,

I'm a writer not bound to make you feel
But bound to write anything and everything
that I captures me,
for if it captures me,
then I am oblige to oppose resistance
by writing what I see, from a dust particle
landing on my skin to the four wheels
taking me captive to God knows where

most likely from my reality
to my imagination

so when you read each piece I written,
you may find within my words, the individuals
that have set me free.

Poetry takes on many forms and many thoughts mostly by the writer and to write like how you write each of your lovely reads, then you are a poet!

Just one thing, this line "that I captures me," should the word I be there.

"so when you read each piece I written,"

should it be not I've written.

All in all I like the read..take care.

When you wake up in the morning and the first thing on your mind is writing then you are a poet. Your soul is talking. This write here has more emotions then you know.
We cannot expect others to understand what our poems are all about, important is you have expressed yourself.
    Amazing
