Comments : Childhood Glances

This was a very tough poem to read, not because of the flow but because I think a lot of children have gone through this. I really loved the vivid imagery and details of the first stanza. The children are as happy as can bewhile they play in the bbeach's sand without a care in the world, and I believe the message is that's how a child should live without a care in the world. Just like you say in the second stanza. I loved the word glance here to. It is just a small sampling of a life a child should live and knowing the love of a great family and happiness. I liked the second character here too. They seem to be older and saw the negative side of a broken and maybe abusive home. It's sad how much a child can go through depending on how they were raised. Great poem.

I strongly feel that some of us are true victims of our childhood and it will reflect upon our adulthood. No child should have to endure that. This poem hit home.
