When Life Weighs heavy

by ChrisT   Apr 16, 2014

When failure weighs heavy on my day
Me, myself and I cry to my lonely way
And I tug heavens ear with pointless pleas
As I look at who I am and dread my fate with ease
Wishing to wish, to be one that's wealthy
To be a star, with friends, and not so stealthy
I want to have amazing talent and endless knowledge
And these thoughts, between happy end I, forms a wedge
Then I think of you and I feel this change
Like a morning bird singing a harmony with range
My spirit rises from these gloomy thoughts
Your love is reminiscent of the good in me
And with it I'm one that even a king would envy
