Religion causes war.

Resubmitted and edited.

Juxtapose belief with pain and suffering
remember those who died through desire
to believe misinterpreted ramblings
lifted from ancient tomes
wars were never won, just lost by idiocy
the god bothering lunatics and the bible burning morons
Religion is a cult, fashioned to control
A pyramid system designed for zombies
faith an excuse for poor behaviour
where is killing taught?
Do the top of the chain truly believe?
should murder continue to hide behind hypocrisy?
How many people will die today in the name of my lord?

Or yours?

Religion and war have never gone together but they connect. One can start from the other. This poem shows that. I liked the way you wrote this though. In war though there might seem like a winner there is not at all. It still baffles me that we have war today. Sometimes I feel like the world has not studied history and always is doomed to repeat it. The ending is my favorite part because its true what you write. How many people will die on opinion? That to me is what religion is. What we believe is really not important to others. But war proves that it does matter. Very inspiring write overall. The message is strong in such a short piece.

I'm really happy you re-posted this piece, it's one of my favorites by you!

I remember commenting on this piece and how it touches deeply on how I feel as well... I really like your word usage.. It's tactful and yet in your face... It's honest and it shows how "Religion" in the hand of "Man" = Disaster... !!

    Love this!!
