Words

by Sunshine   Aug 25, 2014

With a bunch of words in one hand,
yet silence in the other...
Behind the shadows that fenced his land
I knew we no longer had each other.
So I stood still for a while,
until the while got bored of me,
and since then from mile to mile,
I search for him in my poetry.

This is a lovely little piece that captivated me from start to finish - a really unique write.

".....so I stood for a while until the while got bored of me"

    ^^^^^

    An excellent line.

    Take care, Rania,

I am also in search of something in my poetry, even others poetry, as well.
I have not defined it as of yet. I think I may be looking for some type of Esoteric Knowledge, and I am waiting to be chosen by the elite holders of said insight.
My favorite line is the very first, "With a bunch of words in one hand..."
My left hand freely reaches for a verb from my lost and found.

I think that sometimes when we write, particulary about affairs of the heart, we like to get all wordy and extravagant......when in fact often the most beautiful pieces are those that are simply honest and straight forward.

I thought that this piece was stunning :)

Rania, has a very unique and elegant way she writes and with this touching piece of poetry she captivated me...
Miss someone, the loss of someone and tying it into poetry... well its just a wonderful small poem.. I love her creative twist of play on words with "While" and I liked it so much that for me that was the key to this piece... just wonderful!!
