Kingdom of Chains

by Jack Nightengale   Aug 28, 2014

Take a step back and make three knocks on the door,
When the door opens don't try to explore.
There's no light, you've just entered the darkest home,
Now you're stranded with no place to roam.

You're creeped out as something starts touching your skin,
You look around as the chain rattles begin.
Now you're locked in with no place to run,
The sounds of door slams shoot through like a bullet from a gun.

Follow the path just so you can catch a sight,
The crimson corridor leaves you in fright.
No need to scream, who would hear you anyhow?
You're shaking, so what are you going to do now?

You take a seat only only to find out,
You've been bound, so you finally decide to shout.
No worries, you'll only endure more pains,
Welcome to the kingdom of chains.

Wow, I got to say this one is great!!! It had me just from the title. I love how it takes you from making the choice to go in, even with warning. Now that your in the darkness there is no return. I loved this piece! Great job!! :)
